Here is my detailed guide to NeoHomes.
Hopefullly you can find all the information you would need before deciding wether to spend the Neopoints on buying a plot of land to build your NeoPet a home.

Choosing a Neo Neighbourhood.

The first thing you will need to do is decide where you would like your pet to live. Your pet can choose any one of the seven worlds to live in:

Applying for Land

Once you have chosen your location, you then need to apply for land from the Neopian Planning Commitee. You should receive a Neomail to let you know if your application has been succesfull within two days. In the mean time you can check on the progress at the 'Building Status' page. This is detailed and will tell you how many days or hours are left until you can start to build.

Building Your NeoHome

Now you have planning permision you can start building your pet a great NeoHome!

Go to the 'Add/Remove Rooms or Gardens' link. Here is your very own plot of land! Click on the tile that you want to build your first room on.(Take care to think about the positioning of the other rooms you might build in the future!)
Once clicked, a pop-up-window will appear. This is where you design the basic layout of your room.
First you need to choose a room material:

Cardboard~150np
Straw~250np
Twigs~300np
Bamboo~400np
Wood~500np
Chocolate~650np
Jelly~750np
Stone~800np
Brick~1000np
White Chocolate~1200np
Marble~1500
Silver~2000
Cloud~4000np
Gold~7000np
Transparishield~14500np

You should have already decided on a theme for your NeoHome before you start to decide on materials, etc!

Now choose where you want your doors to go...you should probably jot down a plan of your rooms at this point. You want your pet to be able to get around with ease don't you?
Alternatively, if you would like to build a Garden, just click on the 'Build a Garden' button at the bottom of the Pop-Up, Simple Really!


Congratulations! You are now building your very own NeoHome!
Building Status

This page will tell you if any construction is currently going on on your NeoHome, and how long is left until it is complete. You can also cancel constuction, but only if you really want to. Remember, you will lose the money you have spent if you cancel!

Extension options ae available once you have two or more rooms in your NeoHome. The more rooms you get, the more options there are. Here are all of the extension options and there levels:

Here are the answers to some of the most Frequently asked questions about NeoHomes.

If I cancel construction do I lose the NeoPoints that I have spent?
Yes, the builders don't refund any money spent on a new room, land or extensions.

Can I have more than one NeoHome?
No.

How many Neopets can live in my NeoHome?
All of your NeoPets can live in your house but it is a good idea to give them a bedroom each.

Can I upgrade a room or demolish it once created?
Soon you will be able to do this.

Do I have to pay taxes or utility bills on my NeoHome?
This feature is also coming soon!

Can I change my NeoAddress?
Not yet, but NeoHome swaps may be considered.

Will there be any more new features for NeoHomes?
Yes, there are a lot of new features on their way, including; decorating,moving house,taxes, parties, invites,meeting neighbours and much more. Keep your eye's on the News page for updates!

Can other people view my NeoHome?
Yes, you can view peoples NeoHomes via there User Lookup page.

Can I furnish my NeoHome?
Yes, you can buy furniture from the Furniture Shop, then 'Add Items' on your NeoHome page.
