| The
Newbie Guide To The Battledome

Many early Neopians attempt the battledome early off, but do not know
what they are getting into.
I remember buying every Gelert species weapon under 2k and entered the
battledome with almost all defensive weapons against opponents much too
hard for my ability. Once I became more knowledgeable (through this
battlepedia) I became a great Newbie battler. Hopefully Newbies
will learn the ropes
of the battledome threw this guide.
Suggestive Newbie Weapons;
| Weapons |
Why |
|
Dirty
Snow and Fire Snow |
Fantastic
newbie weapons for such a little price it packs a decent defensive
and offensive punch with a variety of icons. |
| 2
Brain Tree Splinters |
Although
they are only used once per battle, their low price and 6 icons each
are very strong in newbie battles. |
| Green
Frost Cannon |
With
a possible freeze and up to 5 icons this is very good for its price
and a surprise to many newbies who have never been frozen before. |
| Slime
Potion |
Healing
10 hp is close to a Jade for some pets and for only 2k it is the perfect
healing item for newbies. |
| Mud
Mixture |
Another
once per battle item, this is a besy buy because of its inexpensive
cost and 5 icons with healing up to 5hp. |
| Peach,
Evil or Exploding Snowballs |
The
perfect single use weapon for newbies these should fill the last available
space. |
Suggested
Abilities
Heal is the best ability for newbies and can be very helpful: the only
downside is it may heal the minimum when you'll need much more to survive.
| Early
Opponents
1. I would recommend first and
foremost the Chia Clown, the easiest battledome
opponent but beware of his downsize power plus because it has ended
the lives of many newbies.
2. If you feel you have far
surpassed the clown I would move on to Harry the Mutant
Moehog. With a difficulty 35 he is much easier then
the number suggests. I would recommend you use the previously mentioned
snow weapons for an effective defense against his higher damage
weapons.
3. The Zafara Rouge
was very easy for me put her only more difficult weapon when factored
with her strength was her jungle arrow, but yet again your snows
should handle most of it.
4. The Ghost Lupe
was an above average newbie opponent when matched with the others
but his icy snowball and his personal weapons may destroy you. Recommended
for advanced newbies.
5. I will tell you to stay away
from Kasuki-Lu! His mere 38 difficulty
may seem the next step after the Moehog but his numerous single
use items
(that don't seem to go away) keep you aching. Even skilled battledomers
are killed by his very hard attacks. Fight at your own risk.
6. I also would not
suggest fighting the pant devil if you have received him early on.
His rod of the dark nova can at times be very deadly when used frequently
because of its healing abilities.
7. For the Flaming
Meerca, the Fire Snow is a necessity in blocking his
fire damage. As for the Mummy you should
yet again use your Fire and Dirty Snows for defense. |
Training Advice
For newbies
I would recommend visiting King Coltzan's Shrine (Located in the Lost
Desert) every 12 hours, doing very inexpensive kitchen quests, and when
you feel you have enough money begin training at the academy. Always train
as much as possible on your species'day.
Side Notes
Check
your species weapons because they can be better and possibly less expensive
then
ones mentioned in this article. Also check your pet's species moves because
they can sometimes do more damage then fierce attack.
Thank you for reading this guide and I hope you are fully prepared
to face your battling adventures.
